The practice

01

Family office advisory

Diligence on direct investments, oversight of operating holdings and coordination across advisors. Senior help on a defined project, without adding headcount.

02

Acquisitions

Sourcing, underwriting and closing lower middle market acquisitions, from the first owner conversation to funding.

03

Portfolio company support

Hands-on work inside the businesses you own. Finance function rebuilds, 13-week cash forecasts, lender reporting and margin improvement.

04

Special situations

Senior support when a business faces a complex transition. Liquidity planning, lender and stakeholder negotiations, and a plan every party can sign off on.

Not a consultant who has read about it. An operator who has bought, run and sold companies.

Public markets

Concentrated stock, equity compensation and liquidity planning for founders and executives, from years advising them at Fidelity Investments.

Private markets

Lower middle market buyouts, seller financing, SBA lending and sell-side processes, from the buyer's seat and the seller's.

Alternative investments

Music and literary royalties and real estate notes. Catalog valuation, diligence and deal flow, including work for Point72.

About

Sunnyside Advisory is led by Nick Patrick, CFP®. He spent eight years at Fidelity Investments in Denver and San Francisco, advising founders and executives through liquidity events.

He then bought and ran two Colorado businesses and sold one to a family office. He also co-founded a music royalty investor and led catalog sourcing and valuation for a Point72 engagement.

Sunnyside brings both views, investor and operator, to a small number of engagements at a time.

How we work

Principal led
